The University of West Attica (UNIWA) was established in 2018 by merging the Technological Educational Institute of Athens and Piraeus University of Applied Sciences. UNIWA is a dynamic institution that invests in modern teaching methods, facilities, and infrastructure. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate study programs in various scientific fields and is the third-largest university in Greece. With over 57,800 students, UNIWA employs 608 faculty members, 138 special laboratory staff, and 345 administrative staff. Twenty-seven active Departments are operating under the academic umbrella of six Schools, covering various scientific fields, such as social, administrative, and economic sciences, engineering sciences, health and welfare sciences, food sciences, and applied art and culture studies. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and lifelong learning services, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and vocational training programs.
